Stories Behind the Numbers

Stories from public school employees

Stories from the general public

To build momentum for change, we must first build awareness of the funding crisis' personal impact. Behind every statistic about the public school funding crisis are tens of thousands of real stories about its impact on students, parents, public school employees, and other citizens across the state. We're building a library of these stories, as well as fresh ideas for a solution to the funding crisis, and we will highlight different stories here on a weekly basis.

My child is a student at Liberty Elementary. He has problems with behavior at school and with other students. Big class sizes concern me because my child has issues with learning, because there are just too many kids in his class. I want the public schools to have more funding to where our children can have a better education, not just for my children but for every child.
